Carlos M. García

Director, Chairman of the Board

Carlos M. García has been the Chairman of the Board of Managers of CFG Partners since December 2014 and a board member since July 2014. He is also the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of BayBoston Managers LLC and Managing Partner of Bay Boston Capital L.P. Prior to that, Mr. García served at Banco Santander in a series of executive roles, from 2011 to 2013 as Senior Executive Vice President and board member of Santander Holdings USA and Santander Bank N.A., and from 1997 to 2008 as President and COO of Banco Santander Puerto Rico, Vice Chairman and CEO of Santander Securities, Chairman of Santander Asset Management and board member of Santander Financial Services (dba Island Finance Puerto Rico). From 2009 to 2011, he was appointed both Chairman, President and CEO of the Government Development Bank for Puerto Rico and Chairman of the Fiscal Restructuring and Stabilization Board of Puerto Rico. Mr. García has over 23 years of experience in the financial industry. Mr. García received a dual bachelor's degree in both economics from the Wharton School and Comparative Literature from the College of Arts and Sciences of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a former board member of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh and Make-A-Wish Foundation of Massachusetts and Rhode Island, a member of the Young Presidents Organization, and a board member of the Hyde Square Task Force in Boston.


Daniel W. Porter

Director

Daniel W. Porter has been a member of our Board of Managers since 2006. Mr. Porter is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Skopos Financial Group, LLC which is a non-prime indirect automobile financing business. Mr. Porter was a Senior Advisor of Irving Place Capital from 2004 to 2011. Prior to joining Irving Place Capital in 2004, Mr. Porter served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of WMC Mortgage, a leading non-prime wholesale mortgage company, from October 2003 to June 2004, when it was acquired by GE Capital. From 1999 to 2003, Mr. Porter was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Wells Fargo Financial, a consumer finance division of Wells Fargo. From 1986 to 1999, he worked at GE Capital where he held several positions including Chief Executive Officer as well as other senior executive positions in automobile, private label credit card and commercial financing businesses. He also led or participated in numerous mergers and acquisitions in the United States, Latin America and Western and Central Europe. Previously, Mr. Porter was a management consultant at Booz, Allen and Hamilton (now Booz & Co.).
Mr. Porter also served as director of White River Capital. Mr. Porter received an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BS from the University of California, Davis.


David E. King

Director

David King is a Managing Director at Fortress Investment Group, where he heads the firm's Strategic Capital Group and focuses on investments in the financial services sector. Prior to joining Fortress in 2014, Mr. King founded and was the Senior Managing Director of Culpeper Capital Partners LLC. Mr. King was formerly a Senior Managing Director at Bear Stearns Merchant Banking and its successor firm Irving Place Capital, a middle-market private equity firm from 2001 to 2011, and a Managing Director at McCown De Leeuw & Co., where he worked from 1990 to 2000. Mr. King currently is a member of the board of several private financial services companies. Mr. King received his B.A. from Rice University, his M.S. from Stony Brook University, and his M.B.A. from Stanford University.


Richard Levy

Director

Richard Levy is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Victory Park Capital, a private investment firm headquartered in Chicago. He also serves as chairman of the firm’s Senior Leadership Team and Investment Committee. Mr. Levy serves on the board of directors of two Victory Park portfolio companies and is chairman of the board of directors of three additional portfolio companies. Richard is also chairman of the board of nonprofit Gardeneers, an active board member of the College Bound Opportunities and Camp Kesem and he sits on the Board of Trustees for the Illinois Institute of Technology. Before founding Victory Park, Mr. Levy served as head of the Small Cap Structured Products Group and co-head of the Solutions Group at Magnetar Capital. He also co-founded and served as managing partner at Crestview Capital Partners. Richard received a B.A. in political science from The Ohio State University, an MBA from the Illinois Institute of Technology’s Stuart School of Business and a J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law. He is a member of the Illinois bar (inactive).


Thomas P. Shippee

Director

Thomas P. Shippee retired as Chief Executive Officer of Wells Fargo Financial in December 2008. He oversaw both U.S. and Canadian consumer finance operations, as well as the commercial businesses for the financial services company headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa. Mr. Shippee served in various positions throughout his career and served as President and CEO from June 2004 until July 2008 when he transitioned to the CEO position in preparation for retirement in late 2008. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics at Bates College and an MBA at Pepperdine University.


Raul Henriquez

Director

Raul currently serves as Chairman and CEO of Insigneo Financial Group, a Miami-based multi-family office. Before Insigneo, he co-founded the financial services firm Hencorp, which offers wealth management and investment banking solutions in Latin America, and until recently, he served as Hencorp Becstone’s President & CEO. Mr. Henriquez has built an extensive track record investing successfully in private equity. He currently serves as a member of the Advisory Committees of Sun Capital Partners, Pine Tree Equity Partners and Alpha Capital. Throughout his professional career, Mr. Henriquez has served on several boards of directors, including the Salvadoran Stock Exchange, the Salvadorian Foundation for Social and Economic Development (FUSADES), Salvadoran American Humanitarian Foundation (SAHF) and Ransom Everglades School. He has also served on the Investment Committee of Ransom Everglades School and is currently a member of the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Investment Committee. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Florida.


Guillermo Henne M.

Director

Guillermo Henne M. has been a member of the Board of CFG Partners since 2018. With more than 25 years of experience in Private Equity, Mr. Henne is currently Chairman of M&A Capital, Inc. which is a family office based in Panama started by Roberto Motta C. M&A Capital, Inc. and has investments in a variety of companies operating in industries such as banking, insurance, ports, real estate, construction, industrial, retail, hospitality, among others. Mr. Henne is an active entrepreneur and member of the board of directors of most of M&A Capital´s portfolio companies including Indesa Holdings Corp. and, starting in 2019, in Empresa General de Inversiones (holding of Banco General). He is a board member of Asociacion Nacional para la Conservacion de la Naturaleza – ANCON (nature conservancy in Panama), Young Presidents Organization (Panama), a member of Entrepreneur Organization (Panama) and Consejo Economico de America Latina (CEAL). Mr. Henne received an MBA from Thunderbird University and a BS from the University of Southwestern Louisiana. He has also participated in Executive Education programs from Harvard University and The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.


Beatriz Beltranena

Director

Beatriz is the Legal Director and General Counsel for Amzak Capital Management, a role she has held 10+ years. Beatriz has experience in the Caribbean markets and has managed a variety of corporate international legal transactions during her career. Before Amzak, Beatriz held positions at Consortium Legal (Central American law firm) and Citibank's branches in El Salvador and Guatemala. She also acted as Citibank’s legal coordinator and director for Citibank Honduras. Beatriz has a Degree in Legal and Social Sciences (Cum Laude) from Universidad Francisco Marroquin in Guatemala, with the License to practice Law in Guatemala and El Salvador, and she has a Master in US Law from Washington University in St. Louis, School of Law. Beatriz is also an active member and contributor for the board of directors of Vital Voices Global Partnership in El Salvador and a Board of Directors member of Glasswing El Salvador a non profit organization that in alliance with the USAID.


Francisco Nuñez

Director

Francisco Nuñez is President of Insigneo Capital, S.A., an asset management firm dedicated to the origination of private credit and equity products, and Insigneo Financial Advisors, S.A., an advisory firm targeted for high net worth and affluent clients in Central America. Francisco has more than 26 years of experience in the financial services industry, of which 15 were spent with Citibank. His experience in the financial services industry ranges from various roles within Citibank El Salvador as Director of Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking and Consumer Banking. He also supervised the Corporate Finance business for Citibank Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica. Throughout his investment banking career, Francisco specialized in bank and capital markets, special situations, structured finance and mergers and acquisitions with total deal volume in excess of US $4 billion. Francisco served on the Board of Directors for Banco Citibank El Salvador and in insurance company Seguros e Inversiones, S.A. (SISA). Currently, Francisco serves in the Board of Managers of Insigneo Financial Services, LLC, is member of the Oversight Committee of W Hotel Bogota, is a founding member of the Salvadoran Foundation for Economic and Social Development (FUSADES) and Chair of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) chapter in El Salvador. Francisco is also member of the Board of Directors Children’s Museum of El Salvador. Francisco graduated with honors in Economics and Business Management from the University of Dallas, Texas.


Kinan Hayani

Director

Kinan Hayani is a Principal at Victory Park Capital, a private investment firm headquartered in Chicago. Previously, Mr. Hayani was an investment banker at Greenhill & Co. in Chicago, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Hayani graduated with highest honors from the University of Illinois where he received a BBA in finance.


Ken Goldman

Director, President & Chief Executive Officer

Ken has 32 years of financial services and consumer credit experience and has been with CFG for over 4 years. He has held senior financial management positions at Santander and Bank of America (formerly MBNA) and earned his CPA at Arthur Andersen. Ken has extensive capital markets experience with multiple issuers for various asset classes and unsecured debt. Mr. Goldman is a graduate of Lehigh University and a Certified Public Accountant.
